Arlen's Home Improvements

Here are a few reasons why Arlen doesn't sleep at night.....oh wait, that was his "shop time".....apparently that is guy therapy. Anyway, Floyd, Arlen and Peggy put in the microwave...not sure who was putting in and who was supervising, but it looks great so it must have worked! The railing was started a few days ago and finished yesterday....an all day and into the night job. Looks awesome though. Its not as light as the picture shows because of my flash. Peggy is home staining that today. That will allow Jessi to get up the stairs when she gets home. She won't be going up any stairs for a few days, but eventually, as she gets stronger...that is the plan. The outside shots have also been on the job list. Major weeding, and Floyd is a gardener...so has been planting for Jessi. The shot of the right side of the front....the side of the picture is not yard, but what the front looked like before weeding...so you know what the work has been. It is beautiful and green here... everything grows good and fast, including weeds. But that is shaping up too. We want to have something for Jessi to come home to. Today, Arlen and I are at the hospital, and some things have improved alot....check the update on Mom's blog...Arlen updated today. She might be home by Friday...we shall see. As a side note, Ryann has a softball game tonight...so that is on the docket when we get home. All for now....

Spring, spring, beautiful spring

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor

This was a first also, for Linda and I. We were invited to Eric Holms' Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Linda did the benediction. If you don't know what that is...ask Linda.=) It was a ceremony honoring his journey to achieve this eagle pin...and it is quite an accomplishment. Hours of service, projects, years of working toward this....I was very impressed. I am still not knowlegeable enough about the process to say much....but, I take my hat off to them!

Have you ever walked on stilts?

If you have, I applaud you! These two ladies could do it. Richelle Miller is very good....walking around on the gravel, up the step to the deck, up the steps to the house....no problem! I did try it..,but there is a reason it was not recorded....

Dec a Page Eggs

Amber was the champion egg blower..or is that egg blower outer?? We may never know. When you want to do an art project.. like say, modge podge egg shells....first you must get rid of the potential smelly egg....enter Amber! Joel tried to air pressure gun, is that an air compressor?....anyway, one perfect one, and two egg shells with rather large holes in one end...but a good effort and idea. Wish I had a picture of the finished product...but too bad...

Beef.....It's whats for dinner.

Girls after my own heart....we gnawed on our steaks during supper...and then Joel and Amber gave them the bones to gnaw on for DESSERT!!! Anyone who knows me understands why I HAD to capture this moment!!

Hike #??

This beautiful falls is Grotto Falls. Joel and Amber let us in on this secret...as you can see it was snowier than we expected. But we still brought dinner and ate it behind the falls.....warm (for a moment) shredded beef sandwiches...=)
